2008-09 Youth Risk Behavior Survey
The Muskegon County Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) is a County-wide, school-based, confidential survey. The survey has been conducted every four years in Muskegon County beginning in 1996. The results presented here contain the findings of the 2008-09 YRBS of 5,142 students in grades 8, 10 and 12. The schools participating included middle and high schools in all twelve public school districts, one charter school, and one alternative education center, located in Muskegon County.
The five priority areas included in the survey were:
- Unintentional and Intentional Injuries
- Tobacco Use
- Sexual Behaviors
- Alcohol and Other Drug Use
- Nutrition, Physical Activity and Weight
