 Volunteer Tax Assistance Program

The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program provides free tax help to low to moderate income people.  VITA volunteers help hardworking families claim all of the credits they earned.  The income boost helps them afford necessities and even build savings.  The extra dollars returned to the community also support the local economy.  Free tax help also means families keep all of their refunds.  They save hundreds of dollars in paid preparer fees and high interest refund anticipation loans or checks.

Please help promote the VITA program and the value of Earned Income Tax Credits/Child Tax Credits to your clients and the community.  The documents below are various informational pieces about the program for your use; if you need more information or have questions, contact Jane Drake, Goodwill Prosperity Center Manager, jdrake@goodwillwm.org,  231.722.7871 ext. 309.
