From the Muskegon County Homeless Continuum of Care Network:
Homelessness Prevention Funding
MSHDA recently announced availability of funds for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing. The funding allocation for Muskegon County will total approximately $600 thousand.
New Protections for Tenants
New federal law signed: protections for tenants living in foreclosed properties. Protections include:
90-day pre-eviction notice to tenants in foreclosed properties.
Rights of tenants to remian in homes for terms of their leases.
Tenants with SEction 8 vouchers to retain lease and rental assistance payments, subject to rights of purchaser to occupy the home after 90 days.
